27.08.2014 Szczecin
I took the train from Świnoujście to Szczecin (120km, 90 minutes, 5 Euros incl. bike) and have to say that Szczecin is full of contrast. On the one hand you have a beautiful old town and castle.
But on the other hand the city center still looks like a soviet town with a tram that is at least 50 years old.
I have reached my destinaton of this trip...

20.08.2014 Zingst to Stralsund
Today was a short 60 km ride to Stralsund and i reached Stralsund already 4:30 pm. After check in to my Hostel (from 4 star Hotel yesterday to 4 bed dorm today) i went to the city center. Wonderful old town and UNESCO world heritage site
At the harbour there is a famous german sailing boat and the museum called Ozeaneum. Wonderful aquarium with local exibits from Baltic and North Sea including Exploration of the Oceans and models of whales in actual size.

19.08.2014 Rostock to Zingst
Early morning i left Rostock for a 80 km cycle trip to Zingst. There are no tourist sites and traps along the way like on my last leg. I can focus on cycling...
I left Rostock and cycled along the east side of the Warnow river back to the Baltic Sea Coastline.
Near Ahrenshoop along the seaside cliff an old NVA (east german army) dropped into the sea and does rest on the beach now...

Although the photo of my hotel in Zingst looks rainy again, i was really lucky and had no rain on my second cycle day.

17.08.2014 Wismar to Warnemünde (Rostock)
The first real leg of my Baltic Cycle tour has started. I left from Wismar and cycled along the Baltic Sea coast via Kühlungborn, Heiligendamm and Nienhagen to Warnemünde.
Kühlungsborn is a really nice and hip Seatown resort
In Kühlungsborn you can also still see some remains of east german watchtowers to control the seaside from people escaping via the open sea.
From Kühlungsborn you can take the historic train Molli to Heiligendamm

Finally through the Ghostforrest of Nienhagen to Warnemünde
