The trip this year will be a cycle trip from Hamburg to Szczecin along the Baltic Sea. As a test trip i have cycled one bit from Timmendorfer Strand to Ratzeburg. Most of the trip is part of the Iron Curtain Cycle Path (Grünes Band - Deutsch/Deutscher Radweg) You cycle within the 5km wide uninhabited former border area in between the 2 former German States. The bit i cycled was indeed partially on the old pattroled pathway.
