Hello boys and girls,
life in Germany is also really interesting. After being backpacking for 11 months some things are really strange back home.
On my first day home I had to go to the supermarket and was quickly reminded that you have to pay 1 Euro deposit to get a shopping cart. Nowhere in the world I found that !
The next day I was walking around my neighbourhood and I noticed an old lady walking her dog. At some point the dog made some poo and of cause the old lady took a plastic bag and took the poo to the next trashcan. In India I saw humans leaving poo near the road and they did not care at all.
On my first weekend after the trip I visited my parents and I had to go on the AUTOBAHN. While driving along, the radio programm stopped for an emergency notice that near Hamburg a dog is running on the highway and all drivers are asked to take care about that special situation ! In India Cows live on the street !!!
At home most of my 8000 photos are on my harddrive now and I captured some fantastic memories. Thanks to all the people I met on the road, I had a brilliant time and I want to especially thank, the people who were kind enough to let me stay a couple of nights in their homes. All stays have been wonderful and you get to know local life much better then as a backpacker staying in hostels.
Thanks to:
Mariana, Joerg and Juliana, Brazil
Claire and crazy Simon, New Zealand
Aphrodite, Australia
Kim Jong Suk, South Korea
Sandra and Nico, Singapore
Thanks to everybody who made this trip so wonderful. If you want to keep in touch, I installed skype and my username is 'backpacktrip007'.
